When Aimee first pulled up in her red 2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback RS (nicknamed Cinnamon) she was itching to make it something really special. Of course, there is a time and place for a practical, family friendly hatchback… Aimee wanted pretty much the exact opposite. Who are we to turn down an opportunity to embrace maximalism in all its glory! Not only did she dream of making it look epic, but she wanted to make it sound and drive epic too.
To nail down what Aimee wanted done, she described certain aspects of other cars that she loved. Like many of our customers, she verbally made car sounds to get her idea across, including “kachow”, “pop pop pop”, and “blum blum blum”. With that, we knew just how to approach the project for her vision. To get the sound just right, we sourced and installed a K&N cold air intake, Borla exhaust, and BNR crackle tune. For improved performance and speed we also installed a new Wastegate actuator. This combination of work created a beautiful sounding vehicle with a sharp turbo, deep rumble, and the occasional pop! Since she liked this sweet sound so much, we were more than happy to perform a resonator delete to amplify that.
Aimee is very much committed to riding in style! To match the flashy sound, Aimee got a stunning sunset colorshift wrap and coloured window tint done by our wrapping contractor. She hopes to team up with us again to source some show wheels, but for now she’s sticking with regular upkeep maintenance to keep her ride in pristine condition.
Now, with the plastic hula girl dancing on her dash, Aimee’s Cruze will be turning heads at car shows and on downtown streets. In honor of all the amazing upgrades, Aimee has renamed Cinnamon to Tito – We were ecstatic to hear that these exciting changes brought a new air of confidence to her wild little car!
